CONTINUOUS CASTING PRODUCTS
The semi-products with round, square, rectangular and dog bone sections are produced in the steel mill of San Zeno Naviglio
The steel meltshop is located in San Zeno Naviglio. nearby Brescia. The facility is equipped with an electric arc furnace, three refining furnaces, one of which is a Smart Twin LMF 4.0 (a ladle furnace integrated with a digital platform to process data collection and analysis) and two continuous casting machines with four and six casting lines, respectively.
The range of products includes 12 different sections amongst billets, blooms (both square and dog-bone shaped), a slab and rounds. These semi-finished products are partly sold to the market and partly used by the rolling mills of the Group located in San Zeno Naviglio, Pallanzeno and Giammoro .
BLOOMS, BILLETS AND DOG BONES
Bloom, billets and dog bones are semi-finished products made in the San Zeno Naviglio plant through a continuous casting process.
ROUND SECTION
The San Zeno steel mill also produces semi-finished products with a round section, with diameters from 220 to 500 mm and a weight ranging from 298 to 1536 kg / m, made directly from the continuous casting process.
